kiva is an organization which facilitates you lending money to a specific entrepreneur in the developing world empowering them to lift themselves out of poverty. it's nice to be able to 'directly' help out someone in need who wants to help themselves be more self sufficient. here's my portfolio. check it out. you might just change someone's life or make it a little better. =) thanks sl for telling me about it.
